FAQs

Where are lessons?

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all lessons have moved online until it’s safe to sing together in person again.

Online lessons take place via Zoom – all you need is a device that has a camera and microphone, and some headphones (not essential but preferred!).

Do you teach on Saturdays?

I teach Tuesday-Friday, with my teaching hours falling variously between 9:30 am and 8 pm. I do not teach on weekends.

Can I have just a few lessons to try it out?

My schedule is very full, so I only have room for students who are ready to commit to regular (weekly during the school year) lessons. You can use your evaluation lesson to ask all your questions and get an idea of what working with me will be like, and whether we are a good fit.

I can’t afford weekly lessons, is it possible to have less frequent lessons?

I get it, committing to singing lessons is an investment. If you want specialised, personalised help with your singing, I really recommend saving up to be able to commit to at least 6-8 months of weekly lessons.

I insist on weekly lessons because I find students who have weekly lessons make much more progress and get a much better return for their investment. They’re more motivated, benefit from the regular contact and check ins with me. It’s also the rhythm that works best for me – I have a very full schedule, and having weekly students means I spend less time doing admin, so I can focus on teaching!

I want help with my singing, but I can’t commit to weekly lessons. Are there other ways I can work with you?

Yes! I’ve always got group projects brewing. Workshops, masterclasses, collaborations…there’s always something coming. I also share singing tips and advice regularly on social media and through my blog. The best way to hear about these is either:

– on my Instagram @voicestudiofr

– from my Newsletter

I’d love to connect with you!
